Average Rating: Rating: - Good Solid Game Wow, when the reviews I'd read said it was an update of Oregon Trail 2, they weren't kidding. It is almost exactly the same, with a few great updates (the fishing and gathering options, as well as the story of the Montgomery family). I really enjoy this game, and always have. I think they probably could have done a bit more improving on the old version 2, but I'll still play with great enjoyment very often. Rating: - Oregon Ho! Explore and Survive the west with Oregon Trail! I got this game a couple years ago for Christmas because my parents knew how much I love pioneers and the Little House series. Well, I still think this game is the greastest! Hope The Learning Company make more of these! Rating: - Lack of creativity The Learning Company didn't invest much thought into Oregon Trail 5. The game is very similar to Oregon Trail 2. The characters even look the same and the music. The interaction screens are almost the same. The new cartoon characters are distracting. It seems like they are trying to make the game easier for younger users, but my 4th and 5th grade users were not impressed. I was really looking forward to this version because I was hoping that the creaters had added more new features, music, and more interaction and user control-all things that this game is lacking. I could have saved my money. However, it is better that version 4, that used so much Quicktime the game could have played itself.
